The randomness of non taken roads.
From time to time I go back to the sea. There's a complicity between my eyes and the waves that haven't reached the shore. The possibilities, uniqueness and freedom that comes from navigating the ocean is one of the most magical feelings I've experienced.
Today I heard again the voice of the man who taught me a couple of "how to's". I can't help to wonder if a yes would have made m dreams possible or if it always takes a "no" to advance toward your dreams.
One of the how to's I appreciate the most comes from learning the way to seize the possibility of being yourself.
The luxury to sail does not only relates to those yatchs we see in posh shores, everyday we deliverately decide which route we will take. Regardless the outcome, dangers or unknown lands the journey has along the way.
Back in time when the world still had vast unexplored places, sailors used to have endless superstitions. From getting tattoos to ward off evils, to avoiding bananas or banning red heads around. To me, fear and dreams form a two sided coin. You can toss it and allow fate to show you which one is the flavour of the day or flip it at your convenience, to shape your reality.
Is it possible the same applies to closed doors and the path towards opportunity?
